Established in 1885, Lower Clarence Rowing Club has been the heart of rowing on the Clarence River for over 135 years. Nestled on the tranquil banks of the South Arm, our club offers unparalleled rowing experiences on smooth, peaceful waters, undisturbed by heavy river traffic. Whether you’re a seasoned rower, a beginner looking to dip your oars for the first time, or someone seeking a supportive community, you’ve found your home with us.

WORLD CLASS FACILITIES
With kilometres of enclosed waterways and long, straight stretches, our location is ideal for both training and leisurely rowing. We boast one of the few registered 2 km rowing courses in the region, complete with eight full lanes and markers every 500 metres.
EXPERT COACHING
Our qualified coaches are passionate about sharing their love for rowing. They provide personalised guidance to help you achieve your rowing goals, whether that’s mastering the basics or preparing for competition.
INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY
Our members range from enthusiastic 12-year-olds to dedicated 80-year-olds, from novices to elite competitors. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of age or ability.
